Mallorca is well known for its beautiful white sandy beaches. Swimming in the turquoise cristal clear water, relaxing on the beaches or enjoying the Spanish ‘tapas’ with a yummy cocktail: Mallorca has it all!

Mallorca has many beautiful beaches. The 554 kilometre of coastline offer in total more than 200 beaches most of which, about 150, consist of fine white sand. There are also several pebble stone beaches that tend to be less busy.
At the well known beaches mostly you will find a large parking lot. For the more secluded and less crowded beaches occasionally a longer walk is inevitable but you will be rewarded with serenity, privacy and a beautiful sand or pebble beach.

The most famous beach in Mallorca is ‘Es Trenc’, situated to the East of Palma between the towns of Colonia de Sant Jordi and Sa Rapita. The three kilometre long white sandy beach with crystal clear blue water is surrounded by dunes, no hotels to be seen which guarantees peace and serenity. Villa Can Valls has the perfect location for people that would like to enjoy this beach.

Playa de Muro is in our opinion the ideal beach. This six kilometre long white sandy beach is located in the north of the island between the resorts of Alcudia and C’an Picafort. This beach is perfect for water sports enthusiasts but also for families with (small) children who want to relax. There are beach clubs, cafes and restaurants located near the beach where you can enjoy a drink or lunch. There are also certain areas where you can rent a sunbed with an umbrella. Our villas and apartments in Alcudia and Alcanada are located near this wonderful beach.

Most of the beaches provide facilities as coast guards and first aid posts. They also indicate the temperature of the sea and the force of the current is shown by a flag-system. This information is not only important for families with children but also for surfers.

White sand, crystal clear turquoise water, a gentle breeze and the sound of the waves in the background: that’s what Mallorca’s beaches consist of. With 2400 hours of sunshine per year, warm summer, mild winters and only a two-hour flight from most European cities Mallorca is the perfect vacation destination. Back to home
